Maya Hawke, the folk singer-songwriter and Stranger Things actor, has announced a new album as well as her first headlining tour in three years. Maitreya Corso is slated to arrive on May 1 via Mom + Pop. She’s also shared its lead single, “Devil You Know,” which you can listen to below.
“‘Devil You Know’ is about trying to keep ambition and greed out of the creative process,” Hawke explained in a press release. “This album generally is about learning to protect the precious from the poisonous. Protect creation from pride. Protect love from control. Protect collaboration from jealousy.”
Maitreya Corso is the fourth album of Hawke’s music career, following her 2024 record Chaos Angel. Most of the songs were co-written and recorded with singer-songwriter Christian Lee Hutson and multi-instrumentalist Benjamin Lazar Davis. Her longtime collaborator Jonathan Low engineered and produced the LP.
Hawke heads out on her tour this spring, beginning on April 10 in Woodstock, New York, and ending on May 2 in New York City. In between, she will perform in Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, and Boston, among other cities. Hawke will also perform at Carnegie Hall tomorrow night as part of the annual Tibet House US Benefit Concert organized by Philip Glass and Laurie Anderson. Find her complete list of tour dates below.
