PRICHARD, Ala. (WKRG) — A murder charge for a 2023 Prichard shooting suspect has been dropped.

According to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office, Isaiah Kelly’s charge was dropped due to issues with witnesses. The office says it will try the case again if more witnesses come forward.
Kelly was arrested in 2024 for the murder of Demetrius Hunter in 2023 at the Brother’s Quick Shop Gas Station on Meaher Avenue. When Kelly was arrested for the murder, he was reportedly on probation.

Prior to this charge, Kelly had an extensive arrest history. He was charged with attempted murder at the age of 16 in 2015.

He was also arrested for shootings in 2017, 2018, and 2022.
