Denise Richards talks about her return to The Bold and the Beautiful
Denise Richards, who has not appeared as Shauna Fulton on The Bold and the Beautiful for four years, is set to return in the Thursday, May 28, 2026, episode of the series. Speaking to PEOPLE, Richards discussed how she felt about stepping back into the role after the hiatus.
“It’s nice to be back,” Richards said. “It feels like I never left. It’s such a great family environment, and I love my character. She likes to cause a little trouble.”
People also shared an exclusive preview of Richards’ upcoming scene on The Bold and the Beautiful. The actress is expected to share scenes with Bill Spencer, portrayed by Don Diamont, and his son Wyatt Spencer, played by Darin Brooks.
Richards added that it “can be very intimidating going into a set where people have worked together for so long.” However, she emphasized that she never experienced that feeling on The Bold and the Beautiful. “Everyone’s just very embracing and very supportive,” she said about her castmates. “The actors I was working with made it so much easier to step back in.”
Richards also shared that Darin Brooks’ return made the experience even more enjoyable. “I loved that Darin was returning, too,” Richards added. “I like that with Wyatt and Shauna, our characters, we’re light and fun, so we’ll see where we go. A lot of times we have no idea what’s going to happen too, which is so fun getting the scripts every Friday.”
Richards began portraying Shauna in 2019 after previously auditioning for the role years earlier.
Fans will soon see Denise Richards return to The Bold and the Beautiful.
